Kids Sewing Course — 1:30 PM Session This 4-week kids sewing class in Burlington, WA is designed for beginners ages 9–18 and serves families throughout Skagit County. Students learn sewing machine basics, safety, and creativity through hands-on projects in a supportive, small-group environment. This 1:30 PM session is a great option for homeschool families or students with flexible daytime schedules. ✔ No experience necessary ✔ Small, supportive group ✔ Students build real skills and complete projects they’re proud of Ages 9–18 What students will learn Students will learn sewing machine basics and safety while creating projects they design and complete themselves. The course is structured so everyone can work at their own pace, building confidence and skills over the 6 weeks. Fabric and supplies are included. Sewing machines Students are encouraged to bring a full-size sewing machine from home to learn on. I also have 8 sewing machines available to reserve at no extra cost (first-come, first-served). Please do not bring mini or compact machines. Questions about machines? I’m happy to help — just ask. Location Held at Whidbey Coffee Café in Burlington, WA, in the community room. Registration details Registration is required to be paid in full prior to the course start. Space is limited to 12 students. In the event of weather- or venue-related cancellations, a make-up class will be scheduled. If this session fills, please join the waiting list. If there is enough interest, an additional course may be added. If you are interested in a different time or age group, feel free to reach out and I will do my best to accommodate. I look forward to sewing with your child and supporting their creativity over the next 4 weeks! Pick up: All participants must be picked up on time. After 5 mins, a charge of $1 per min will be applied to your account. Liability Waiver, Medical Consent & Media Release Positive Change, LLC By registering for or participating in any class, camp, workshop, lesson, or event hosted by Positive Change, LLC, I acknowledge and agree to the following: I understand that sewing activities involve inherent risks, including but not limited to the use of sewing machines, scissors, rotary cutters, irons, needles, and electrical equipment, which may result in injury. I voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation and agree to release, waive, and hold harmless Positive Change, LLC, its owners, employees, contractors, representatives, and hosting facilities from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising from injury, illness, or loss sustained during participation, whether for myself or my minor child. In the event of a medical emergency, I authorize Positive Change, LLC to obtain medical treatment if I cannot be reached, and I accept responsibility for any related costs. I grant permission for photographs and/or video taken during programs to be used for promotional purposes. I confirm that I am at least 18 years old or the parent/legal guardian of the participant, and I agree to these terms voluntarily.
