Welcome to a realm where creativity is the heartbeat of every experience. My journey began with a vision to create a sanctuary where the 'Aha!' moments are not just fleeting instances, but the foundation of a lifelong pursuit of mastery and self-discovery through diverse creative arts.

At Positive Change, I believe that creative expression is more than an activity—it's a profound conversation with the soul, a transformative journey that truly empowers us to connect with our higher, most intuitive selves. My classes are meticulously crafted to synchronize with the academic calendar, ensuring a seamless integration of learning and creativity. I provide all the necessary, pre-washed materials, conveniently available for purchase in my mobile store. Alternatively, students are always welcome to bring their own fabrics and materials from home, fostering a deeper sense of ownership and connection to their creative endeavors, and ultimately, their self-sufficiency. Students are also welcome to bring their own sewing machines, should they wish to work on their personal equipment.

My mission extends beyond teaching; it's about igniting a passion that weaves through the very fabric of our beings, guiding individuals towards positive change within themselves. As I continue to grow this vision, my spectrum of classes expands, inviting learners of all ages to discover the joy of creation and the empowering skill of self-sufficiency. This community I'm building is a tapestry of inspiration, where each thread represents a student's unique journey into the world of creative expression. Join me, and let's thread passion into every stitch of this collective tapestry of self-discovery and inner growth.

Meet Ms. Stephanie:

Hello and welcome!

I'm Stephanie Philbrick, and as a passionate Creative Arts Instructor based in Skagit Valley, I'm thrilled to share my love for handmade creation and self-discovery with you. For over 15 years, sewing has been a profound source of joy and artistic expression in my life. This dedication extends beyond the needle and thread; my 20-year journey also includes the vibrant worlds of painting, crocheting, and a myriad of other creative pursuits.

My Teaching Philosophy:

Through my own creative explorations, I've discovered immense joy in truly guiding others to connect with their higher, most intuitive selves. My commitment isn't just to the techniques, but to empowering each student to discover their own capabilities. I thrive on helping individuals gain the confidence to approach what they don't yet know how to do, to release the perfection ego, and to bravely experiment with their creative side without fear. It's about nurturing that inner spark, holding their hand when needed, providing a safe space, and offering gentle answers, allowing them to lead their own discovery and experience profound positive change within themselves.

The Power of Making:

What truly ignites my passion for teaching is witnessing a student's self-astonishment – that profound "aha!" moment when they realize they've created something amazing, entirely on their own terms. It's not just about the finished project; it's about them filling their own cup, discovering an unwavering confidence and pride that stems from within. I deeply believe that learning to create with your own hands offers incredible empowerment, cultivating true self-sufficiency and fostering a profound sense of achievement that lasts far beyond the studio.

I can't wait to join you on this exciting creative journey. Let's embark on this adventure and make something truly amazing together, discovering the positive change that comes from within!

Sincerely,

Stephanie Philbrick Owner & Instructor, Positive Change
