Service Description

This Sewing Course is for Sisterhood of the Trail members only. If you would like to inquire about setting up your own group or private sewing course, please feel free to contact me directly 5-week adult sewing course is for anyone who’s been curious about sewing or wants to feel comfortable using a machine — no experience necessary. We’ll be making robes or kimonos, and I’ll walk you through everything step by step. This is a hands-on, low-pressure class where you can learn at your own pace, ask questions, and actually enjoy the process. We’ll cover things like: How to use a sewing machine safely and confidently Creating your own pattern Cutting fabric and prepping your pieces Sewing robes and kimonos from start to finish Clean finishing techniques What’s provided: Sewing machines (you are welcome and encouraged to bring your own to learn on!) Tools and equipment during class Ongoing guidance and help each week What you’ll need to bring: Fabric for project (about 2.5–4 yards per project, depending on whether you would like knee or floor length, cotton, cozy/snuggle cotton, or fleece, and of course, your size). It is always a good practice to get more fabric than you need so you can feel at ease as we set out on this journey. **Make sure to wash your fabric prior to class!** Thread and basic notions, scissors, seam ripper, measuring tape. Class details: 5 weeks Adults 18+ Small group setting Calm, supportive environment No experience necessary. I have 9 sewing machines available for use; they must be reserved at the time of registration. Students are also encouraged to bring their own! This class is perfect if you’ve always wanted to learn to sew, want to make something cozy and useful, or just want a creative break in your week. Pick up: All participants must be picked up on time. After 5 mins, a charge of $1 per min will be applied to your account. Liability Waiver, Medical Consent & Media Release Positive Change, LLC By registering for or participating in any class, camp, workshop, lesson, or event hosted by Positive Change, LLC, I acknowledge and agree to the following: I understand that sewing activities involve inherent risks, including but not limited to the use of sewing machines, scissors, rotary cutters, irons, needles, and electrical equipment, which may result in injury. I voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation and agree to release, waive, and hold harmless Positive Change, LLC, its owners, employees, contractors, representatives, and hosting facilities from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising from injury, illness, or loss sustained during participation, whether for myself or my minor child. In the event of a medical emergency, I authorize Positive Change, LLC to obtain medical treatment if I cannot be reached, and I accept responsibility for any related costs. I grant permission for photographs and/or video taken during programs to be used for promotional purposes. I confirm that I am at least 18 years old or the parent/legal guardian of the participant, and I agree to these terms voluntarily.
