Service Description
🆓 Free Kids Intro to Sewing Class — 3:00 - 4 PM Drop-In Session | April 1st Registration Required | Beginner-Friendly | Ages 9–18 Let's learn how to sew — and it won't cost you a thing! This free drop-in session is a great way to try sewing before committing to a course. Students will learn sewing machine basics and safety while creating a project they design and complete themselves — all at their own pace, in a supportive, small-group environment. All fabric and supplies are included! This is also a perfect opportunity to learn more about our upcoming May classes, monthly membership, and summer camps — stick around after class and ask me anything! Sewing Machines Students are encouraged to bring a full-size machine from home. I also have sewing machines available to reserve at no extra cost (first come, first served). Please do not bring mini or compact machines. Need help finding or prepping a machine? Just ask! Location Whidbey Coffee Café — Community Room | Burlington, WA Registration Details For new students only — this is your first stitch with us! Space is very limited — only 6 spots available Registration is required — grab your spot before it's gone! This is a one-time free session — no payment required! Pick up: All participants must be picked up on time. After 5 mins, a charge of $1 per min will be applied to your account. Liability Waiver, Medical Consent & Media Release Positive Change, LLC By registering for or participating in any class, camp, workshop, lesson, or event hosted by Positive Change, LLC, I acknowledge and agree to the following: I understand that sewing activities involve inherent risks, including but not limited to the use of sewing machines, scissors, rotary cutters, irons, needles, and electrical equipment, which may result in injury. I voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation and agree to release, waive, and hold harmless Positive Change, LLC, its owners, employees, contractors, representatives, and hosting facilities from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising from injury, illness, or loss sustained during participation, whether for myself or my minor child. In the event of a medical emergency, I authorize Positive Change, LLC to obtain medical treatment if I cannot be reached, and I accept responsibility for any related costs. I grant permission for photographs and/or video taken during programs to be used for promotional purposes. I confirm that I am at least 18 years old or the parent/legal guardian of the participant, and I agree to these terms voluntarily.
