Jan 21 Kids Sewing Course — 1:30 PM Session This 6-week kids sewing class in Burlington, WA is designed for beginners ages 9–18 and serves families throughout Skagit County. Students learn sewing machine basics, safety, and creativity through hands-on projects in a supportive, small-group environment. This 1:30 PM session is a great option for homeschool families or students with flexible daytime schedules. ✔ No experience necessary ✔ Small, supportive group ✔ Students build real skills and complete projects they’re proud of Ages 9–18 What students will learn Students will learn sewing machine basics and safety while creating projects they design and complete themselves. The course is structured so everyone can work at their own pace, building confidence and skills over the 6 weeks. Fabric and supplies are included. Sewing machines Students are encouraged to bring a full-size sewing machine from home to learn on. I also have 8 sewing machines available to reserve at no extra cost (first-come, first-served). Please do not bring mini or compact machines. Currently, only 4 left to reserve for this class! Questions about machines? I’m happy to help — just ask. Location Held at Whidbey Coffee Café in Burlington, WA, in the community room. Registration details Registration is required to be paid in full prior to the course start. Space is limited to 12 students. In the event of weather- or venue-related cancellations, a make-up class will be scheduled. If this session fills, please join the waiting list. If there is enough interest, an additional course may be added. If you are interested in a different time or age group, feel free to reach out and I will do my best to accommodate.
