Are you looking for a non-invasive, natural, safe and reliable method for
dealing with high blood pressure, migraines, headaches, allergies, skin complaints,
CFS, ME and other stress related conditions?
Biofeedback , Autogenic training and deep relaxation techniques have actually been around for many years but are now coming back into vogue. Many people who were previously happy to take tablets as a “quick fix” are questioning whether they really want to be dependent on medication for the long term and are becoming increasingly concerned about side effects and prescription costs. They are looking to natural alternative remedies that can be relied upon to give results.
By learning to use and practising with these techniques, many people have (with the knowledge and consent of their GP.) been able to decrease their dose of medication, or stop taking it altogether. The advantage of learning these simple but effective natural methods is that once learnt you can continue to benefit from using them as often as you wish in the comfort of your own home. Unlike drugs:
Autogenic training
Autogenic means “generated from within”. It is a research based
relaxation technique which promotes stress reduction and peace of mind. Developed
by a Psychiatrist in the 1920's it involves learning a set of simple techniques
(based on breathing, relaxation and affirmations) carried out in a sequence.
You will be guided through and taught the techniques which can then be practised
away from the session.
Practised regularly it has been shown to reduce blood pressure, cholesterol levels, stress, anxiety, headaches, infertility, migraines, symptoms of CFS, ME and a variety of psychosomatic problems. Can be used with or without biofeedback.
Biofeedback
Using a biofeedback monitor (a small device which monitors the Galvanic Skin
/ Stress Response (GSR) from probes attached to the finger – nothing
can be felt (ie. it is completely safe, non-invasive and painless) the client
is taught various stress reduction and relaxation techniques (such as autogenics,
guided imagery & visualisation) Seeing how the stress response monitor
responds gives the client specific and immediate feedback on what is working
best for them. The techniques can then be practised away from the session.
Guided Imagery & Visualisation
Simply another form of deep relaxation. Learn how to achieve a deeply relaxed
state and be guided through a series of images and visualisations. This
reduces the stress response and give the client a way to relax and calm
themselves. Particularly useful for stress and anxiety and any stress related
conditions such as headaches, insomnia and high blood pressure. Helps
clears the mind of everyday worries and stress.
Also helpful to use for motivation and goal attainment to visualise success.
